Techno Insulation had just released their latest product, a flexible construction tape which has super-adhesive and weather-proof properties, the Watertight flashing tape. I was given the task to come up with a fresh logo design for “Watertight”. The “W” in the title was the first thing that struck me, a load of ideas flew through my mind, and I thought to myself that I need to associate a design of tape with the logo and after many attempts and concepts, the design below was the result. The “W” portrays a folded and swivelling tape in its illustration.
Having completed the logo, the next project was to create an economical packaging design. The result was a circular paper sticker design which covered the face and back, with simple but necessary branding and technical details.

Watertight tape used on-site
It is designed to prevent water penetration around window and door openings at framing junctions, and to keep any water that gets past the cladding or through the joinery from direct contact with the framing to which Watertight has been applied.
